Cross-Cutting Projects Accdis 2021

ACCDiS es un Centro de investigación en áreas prioritarias de la iniciativa FONDAP de la Agencia Nacional de Investigación y Desarrollo ANID, integrado por académicos de la Universidad de Chile y de la Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile. Su objetivo es entender y prevenir las enfermedades crónicas no transmisibles, con particular énfasis en el estudio del cáncer y las enfermedades cardiovasculares.
One of the main missions of ACCDiS is to be a national and international benchmark in interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary research in chronic diseases. For this purpose, a new competition for "ACCDiS Transversal Projects" is called for the associate researchers and collaborators of the Center, who have not previously been awarded a transversal project, and who are interested in developing collaborative research between two or more of the following lines priority research centers.
The proposed project must be focused on the following priority research topics established by the Center:
- Omic (microbiomes and others) for the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases
- Long COVID-19 its relationship with chronic diseases
- Molecular imaging and targeting for the prevention and treatment of chronic diseases
- Interrelation between liver and cardiovascular diseases and cancer
The awarded project will have an execution period of one year, with no possibility of extension. At the end of the year, the person in charge of the project is expected to present the results or advances in the research to the ACCDiS Academic Council. The project begins when the official award email is received from the Center's Central Office.
The maximum fund to be delivered is: $ 15,000,000.- (Fifteen million pesos). By 2021, funds will be awarded for a project.

SELECTION CRITERIA
All the projects that apply will be sent to the Vice Presidents of Research of both host universities, who will evaluate the projects according to the following factors:

The following scale will be used to rate each factor:
Score | Category | Definition |
0 a 0,9 | Does not qualify | The proposal does not meet / address the criteria under analysis or cannot be evaluated due to lack of background or incomplete information. |
1 a 1,9 | Deficient | The proposal does not adequately meet / address aspects of the criterion or there are serious inherent shortcomings. |
2 a 2,9 | Regular | The proposal meets / addresses in general terms the aspects of the criterion, but there are important shortcomings. |
3 a 3,9 | Okay | The proposal meets / addresses the criteria aspects in a good way, although some improvements are required. |
4 a 4,9 | Very good | The proposal meets / addresses the criteria aspects very well, even though certain improvements are possible. |
5 | Excellent | The proposal meets / addresses in an outstanding manner all relevant aspects of the criterion in question. Any weakness is very minor. |
The projects with the highest score will be awarded.
