Dean Arturo Squella inaugurates new building Emeritus professors

The new dependencies of the School of chemical sciences and pharmaceutical of the University of Chile they will host the scientific and administrative facilities of the project FONDAP ACCDiS .

The new building was inaugurated by the Dean, Prof. Arturo Squella, after the management account for the period 2018, ceremony that counted with the presence of the Pro-Rector of the U. of Chile, Prof. Rafael Epstein, the Director of ACCDiS and University Senator, Dr. Sergio Lavandero, and most of the researchers, employees and officials of the Centre for advanced chronic diseases.

The ceremony also highlighted several members of ACCDiS, including:

• DRA. Valentina Parra, research associate, for having been awarded the Fondecyt Regular Project 2019 tender.
• Dr. Jaime Riquelme, collaborator, for being awarded the Fondecyt 2019 Research Initiation Contest.
• Dr. Francisco Morales, postdoctoral fellow, for being awarded the 2019 Fondecyt Postdoctoral Competition.
• Dr. Felipe Oyarzun, research associate, for his work on the licensing of nanoformulaciones of Curcumin.
• Dr. Vinicius Maracajá, research associate, by joining as Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology.

After the ceremony, Dr. Sergio Lavandero visited, next to Dean Prof. Arturo Squella and Pro-Rector Prof. Rafael Epstein, new dependencies ACCDiS, which will be inaugurated during the first half of 2019.
