More than 70 professors from various disciplines in the Metropolitan Region, have participated in previous versions of Camp Explora VA! Organized by the Explora Norte Metropolitan Region Project of the Ministry of Science, Technology, Knowledge and innovation. This activity aims to strengthen the skills of education professionals, Supporting science education, Knowledge and innovation in educational communities and promote the formation of collaboration and learning networks among teachers.

"All the activities that will be carried out in the Camp seek to promote and encourage teamwork, and that participants can learn for innovation. We hope to generate spaces for learning and reflection together with the specialists, that allows campers to design and develop science teaching activities in their classrooms that enrich their teaching practices. This time the main focus will be sustainable development," said Dr.. Mario Chiong, Director of Explora RM Norte.

He also added that, through the talks, Workshops and group dynamics led by collaborating institutions will seek to generate the capacity to problematize from the context of each educational community and co-design from this analysis, Significant innovation/research activities or projects for your students that incorporate science teaching strategies into their development.

In its third version, Explora VA Camp! It will be held in person between Monday, January 16 and Friday, January 20, 2023, at the Faculty of Chemical and Pharmaceutical Sciences of the University of Chile (16-18 January) and at the Hotel Colinas de Cuncumén (19-20 January).

Basic or secondary teachers may apply, Nursery educators and education assistants of any discipline who work in the classroom, that are linked to educational establishments belonging to the 17 communes of the project, Those who are not formally linked to an educational establishment for a period of time not exceeding 6 months may also participate.

Within the benefits delivered by the instance, 100% free of charge for all participants, including food service (16-20 January) and transportation-lodging (19-20 January); the delivery of didactic tools for science education with a sustainable approach; A kit of materials for the dynamics of the activity, and the delivery of certificate issued by the project.

Camilo Soto de Liceo Amanda Labarca de Vitacura, participated in Camp 2021 in a virtual format: "The Teacher Camp was a great experience, despite being in online format. To finish, Professor María Hortensia of the Echeverría Primitive School, also a participant of the Camp face-to-face version said that "This activity was a very significant experience. For a week we had the opportunity to share with different colleagues from various disciplines and this allowed us to exchange ideas and ways of teaching.
