The Bicentennial Lyceum together with the Santa Rosa de Molina Hospital and ACCDiS will hold the second version of the Science Fair, Technology & Healthcare.
The initiative invites the entire educational community and establishments of the Maule Region to participate, to apply with the school research projects that are being developed as part of the strengthening of science competencies in their students. The event brings together students and teachers interested in science topics, technology and health to share with other academic peers, the progress or results of the school research work they lead.
This Fair is open to receive all applications that take advantage of the rules presented below. If you have any questions., We are ready to respond when you need it. From now on, everyone is welcome to this academic event.

OBJECTIVES
Overall goal:
Encourage and socialize scientific research, School Health and Technology, promoting scientific culture and the appropriation of the benefits of science, Technology and Innovation, by children, girls and young women.
Specific objectives:
- Strengthen students' research competencies in Science and Technology, developing their critical and purposeful attitude towards their environment.
- Promote the dissemination and exchange of knowledge and experiences among the different participants.
- Stimulate, through recognition, the excellence of the work done, Cooperation and teamwork.
CALL
The Bicentennial Lyceum, Santa Rosa de Molina Hospital and ACCDiS invite teams of students who are studying between 5th grade of Basic Education and 4th year of Secondary Education during 2024, at least 18 years old, to send jobs to the e-mails indicated in the table above, indicating the category to be worked on: (to) Basic Education (5° to 8°) (b) Secondary Education (1st to 4th), in the thematic axes (1) Science & Health Research, (2) technology (3) Student Social Responsibility.
APPLICATION
1. SCHOOL RESEARCH TEAM
Definition: It corresponds to the team made up of the students who developed the scientific research or technological development work (See Categories section), which is made up of at least one and a maximum of two students who are studying during 2024 between 5th year of Ed. Basic and 4th year of Ed. Stocking.
Responsibilities:
- The Work Team It must be made up of a maximum of 2 students and an advisory teacher belonging to the educational establishment.
- The professor may accompany or advise other research teams, but each team of students will be able to submit just a (1) work.
2. PARTICIPATION CATEGORIES
Teams interested in participating in the fair will be able to submit research projects that belong to the following categories: Science & Health Research, Technology, Student Social Responsibility.
Care must be taken to ensure that all papers submitted must be Original and unpublished, it should not have been carried out previously. In case of the continuation of a school research project started in previous years, They will be able to present themselves at the fair as long as they show only the most relevant results obtained in 2024.
2.1 Natural Sciences and Health Research
They correspond to research activities of an experimental or non-experimental nature, such as descriptive or analytical observational research, aimed at generating new knowledge in the different areas of science, whether it's life sciences, Physical, Chemical, of the Earth, Medical, health care, Agricultural, among others.
2.2 Engineering and Technology Development
It corresponds to the creation or optimization of products, materials, Devices, Processes, Systems or services, aimed at satisfying a specific need and/or solving a detected problem. Existing knowledge and techniques are used in the development of technological projects, as well as practical skills and experiences.
2.3 Student Social Responsibility
Design and implementation of proposals aimed at improving health education, for example: Brochures, tik tok, Stories, other.
ADMISSIBILITY
Projects received will be admissible if they comply with the submission of the following mandatory documentation:
to) Single Application Form
b) Video summary of the project (Maximum 2 minutes duration). The video should contain a summary of the project.
*The video must be recorded with the cell phone in vertical camera.
*A contest will be held with this video, where the video that gets the most comments will be rewarded
They shall be declared admissible, but qwill be excluded from the final awards process, The proposals that:
- Let them be demonstrations of principles, postulates or theories. This type of work may be presented as a sample.
- Be a copy of existing work. This criterion is difficult to verify in some cases, Compliance with this is at the good faith and ethics of each participating research group. If plagiarism is detected, The nominated project will be excluded from competition.
In any of the categories, The submitted work must be carried out during 2024. Older research may be available, But the relevant results for the selection will be those obtained during this year.
EVALUATION
The Evaluation Committee (CE), made up of six people from different areas, will be in charge of evaluating the work by means of an evaluation instrument. The EC will be in charge of evaluating the works during the visit to the stands, the oral exhibition and the poster of the stand, guided by the criteria shown below:

The rating scale is designed from 0 to 5, considering the following criteria, where 5 is the highest rating.
