Dr. Westenbrink is a cardiologist and a clinical pharmacologist from the department of experimental cardiology. In this seminary he will present highlights from the past 40 years of translational cardiovascular research in Groningen and also present new insights into the link between heart failure and cancer, the metabolic control of cardiac hypertrophy, and the potential application of artificial intelligence fin clinical cardiology.
